Below is a polynomial regression of the number of times per decade that Phil saw his shadow THE TREND IS ALARMING !!

 

No Shadow years:

1890, 1902, 1934, 1950, 1970, 1975, 1983, 1986, 1988, 1990, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2007, 2011, 2013, 2016.

Heat Siphon supports the groundhog and welcomes
this trend as long as it doesn't go off the deep end.

The handlers of the World's most famous groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, said the furry rodent failed to see his shadow at dawn Tuesday, meaning he "predicted" an early spring.

Is Phil's forecast confirming a troubling trend toward global warming?

Records dating to pre-industrial 1887 show Phil has predicted "more winter" 102 times, while forecasting an early spring just 18 times, but with increasing frequecy.

If Phil's trend continues he will be seeing no shadows and predicting a WARM SPRING FIVE TIMES IN A DECADE or EVERY OTHER YEAR!! We will be swimming TWICE AS LONG.

Rumor has it, Phil thinks a little global warming saves money by reducing heating bills and will be no problem -

Phil was overhead saying -

"You humans don't get it - by now with all of your geological knowledge you should know that the earth is self-correcting

- the warmer it gets the more plants and trees will thrive converting the extra carbon dioxide back into oxygen and rebalancing will eventually then return back to ice age levels.

It's not like we haven't seen this movie before !!"
